CINEMATOGRAPHY IN THE 3D REALM
after some discussion about the idea with my professor and classmates, I came out with a short film idea that would involve research about different camera lenses, and cinematography techniques that were used by different cinematographers on different lenses and cameras.
I want to have 3 different scenes with the same character in the four different scenes I want them to look different, have different compositions, have different lenses, and have different feelings to communicate how each decision affects the emotion of the scene viewed by the audience.
1. the interview I want it to feel personal so a tight aspect ratio, low f stop, and tight composition is the way to shoot it.
2. then I want him to have flashbacks as the interview goes on, so an old 16mm camera look would be required to portray that.
3. I want to shoot the action, and why he is having this strange interview, so that would require something to feel like a new film, so a 2.41 aspect ratio, crisp camera lens, and more.
along with the short film, I want to play with compositions, color palettes, and more.
i want the mini short film to be like an interview of this robot (because is an asset I already have).
