The Mandalorian Glass Statue
Project Final Image (low ress because i dont know where my high ress pics are)
For this project we had to choose a pokemon (our rock) and use it as a reference to recreate a CG object with the same or almost the same material.
Project shwocase (High ress)
We had to shoot our plate with references to match the lighting and the perspective.
Then using the different render passes created in maya we had to come close to a life-like look of the statue of glass
Project Breakdown (low ress)
These are the different plates that he had to shot in camera in order to use them as guides and also as actual plates to do the project with as much fidelity we could
HDRI
Render passes used in comp
These are the different plates used to create the final image.

- The first two are clouds inside the object to recreate the volume that the rock had.

- Then the two from the middle are the reflections and the subsurface that was combined using the third image in red and green from the first row. (on red the subsurface and on green the reflections).
- I also used this pass to incorporate the cloud passes (playing with how much do i want to have displayed in the object).

- The third pass of the middle row is the highlight, and the third pass of the third row is the contact shadows of the object itself.

-Then the first two passes from the last row are to control the caustics and the contact shadow on the floor. (the red and green pass was to control different saturations, luminocity and opacity on the floor to simulate caustics).
